Who We Are
Grindstone Ministries is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization based in Eastern Oklahoma, specializing in disaster relief and construction projects for underserved communities impacted by severe weather events. Over the past 5 years, we have deployed 46 times, responding to major disasters, including Hurricanes Ian & Michael in Florida, the tornadoes in Mayfield Kentucky, the tornadoes in Marietta and Barnsdall Oklahoma, and most recently Hurricane Helene in Eastern Tennessee. We simply serve two purposes to Love the Lord our God with all our heart, all our might, and all our strength. And second to love our neighbors as ourselves.

What We Do
We look to serve those that are left behind and forgotten, that may be uninsured or underinsured for their losses. We do not bill anyone for our services and do not expect any reimbursement for anything we do. Our efforts include volunteering hundreds of thousands of man-hours for relief and recovery. Hauling and disposing of tens of thousands of cubic yards of debris at our cost. Rebuilding, remediating, or replacing over a dozen homes at no cost to the affected. Providing thousands of hot meals to residents, first responders, line workers, volunteers, and recovery personnel. Coordinating and performing Search & Rescue missions. Offering medical expertise to support strained EMS agencies. Warehousing and distributing thousands of tons of non-perishable food, potable water, hygiene products, childcare necessities, construction materials, and medicines. Raising over $3,000,000 in private funds for disaster relief and support. Grindstone Ministries relies on the generosity of donors and supporters to maintain our readiness and continue our critical work. Mini Deployments are generally short term deployments where we are able to attend to smaller groups of individuals and families in between large scale deployments. When we discover someone who has slipped between the cracks of a major disaster, we will schedule a mini deployment to help in any way we can!
